WHAT HAPPENED ON THE DAY OF THE DEAD?
The Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos, is a holiday celebrated in central and southern Mexico. It is a festive celebration of the lives of loved ones who have passed away. It is believe that the gates of heaven are opened at midnight on Oct 31, and the spirits of all deceased are allowed to reunite with their families for 24 hours. 

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF A SUGAR SKULL
Sugar skulls represented a departed soul , has the name written on the forehead and was placed on the home ofrenda or gravestone to honor the spirit of a particular loved one.
